Premium Banner with Free PSD for $5 on Fiverr
These banners are made just for a demonstration purpose.

So, yesterday after we posted on the blog about our Fiverr progress in term of gig views and creating additional gigs we had in the first day being part of the platform, the very firs gig order was placed. It was made on our first gig (on which more you can read here).
The order was for an animated .gif banner. Considering the well written brief our client has provided we had no problems finishing it in a 15-20 minutes time frame. We like to consider this job-done-super-fast for a custom animated premium banner design.
The client was generous enough to leave us the first 5 stars gig feedback, which is very important for a Fiverr starters as our selves, but also for a big seller. Feedbacks can make you or break you, even we know that.

As our first Fiverr gig we wanted to do something with high demand on the platform and its not that time consuming as we have already a lot of work provided from our existing clients.
So we decided to do a gig on Web Banners.
Designing banners is fun and at the same time is less time consuming than for examples designing logos, web layouts, complete brandings etc.
Also it's a chance to put our less experienced designers on test and see if they can already create real, high quality banners that meet HTG criteria and satisfy real clients.
For the title we've decided to go simple and short. Even Fiverr is recommending that. After they added their famous prefix it ended up looking like this:

We also wanted to differentiate us from the larger amount of banner gigs by putting 'Free PSD' in the title. There are a lot of guys on fiverr that charge additional gig orders for the editable .PSD file. A chance for us as starters on the platform, beside our quality, to offer the buyers even more for their money. It may sound cocky but the truth is that on Fiverr everybody can create designer gigs even guys with no graphic design experience what so ever, and they do it, quite often :)
For the media (images/video) we are a bit limited as starters on only 3 images and a video. So we've created a nice video including one of our best jobs on web banners and uploaded it alongside the 3 images, the main image that is shown in the search results and two other.
For the main image, considering the small dimensions it will be shown in on the search result page we went with big bold lettering explaining the gig and emphasizing the word 'Web Banners' witch is kind of our main keyword. For the two other images we end up sticking more banners on each so we can use the limited space smarter, and show the potential buyers more of our portfolio.
We used some neat keywords, written good description, describing what are you getting for 5 bucks and our gig extras and published the gig.
After the video was processed our main image, the one with the big ang bulky lettering was replaced with a frame from the video. We didn't find any option to change this and tried googling it. But no luck. So, we decided to create new video with our main image at the end so we can set that frame for our main image. But after Fiverr added the play button above our thumbnail all of the text on it was kinda hidden and we decided to delete the video. Fiver strongly recommends videos for gigs, but for a graphic design gig in my humble opinion its not that important. More important is to show your portfolio to the world.

Hello guys,
We are proud to announce to you that me and my team, we are finally on Fiverr.
My name is Atanas Popov, the main person behind HeyThereGraphix Design Studio. My team and I we have combined 78 years of graphic design experience :)
Why do I say finally?
Well for a long period of time I was laying on the idea to join Fiverr. We now have more experienced employees and interns and the Fiverr gigs would definitely strengthen our already strong portfolio.
One more reason the had maybe the final push for us to create our first Fiverr gig on premium animated and static web banners, on witch I will write more in my next post, is the exchange rate on the USD in Macedonian Denars that is rising from day to day and now its coming close to the Euro. Meaning working on fiverr now is more worthwhile than ever.
